Store Manager and Tennis Concierge

Department: Merchandising and Racquet Sports 


Location: Yonge and Rosedale area working at both the Toronto Lawn Tennis club location and the York Racquets location

Job Summary:

Manage the customer service, client relations and sales of Tennis Central to ensure that all product and sales goals are achieved through the conscientious application of Tennis Central merchandising standards to achieve the best customer service as possible. To work with Tennis Central means you must have a Passion for the sport, Knowledge of the game and Integrity committed to a relentless desire to improve our performance in creating the highest quality shopping experience for all clients. 

Essential Functions

• Participates in the timely introduction of new product to the floor
• Creatively promotes and maintains stock levels on the floor
• Plans, initiates, and implements with leadership from the Owner and Management

• 3 years of Racquet stringing (Tennis, Squash and Badminton) 

• Participates in the promotion of events at the club
• Provides excellent customer service to Tennis Central’s internal and external customers
• Participates with the store team in achieving all aspects of service, store readiness, store cleanliness, control of assets, health and safety practices and compliance with Tennis Central policies
• Maintains appropriate paperwork
• Performs other related duties as required

Skill Requirements

• Merchandising experience in a retail environment is required
• Enthusiasm for retail business
• High standard of professionalism
• Self-starter with ability to work well independently, produce results under pressure and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail, 100% accuracy
• Ability to lift and weigh items of in excess of 30 lbs
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Friendly, outgoing personality
• Committed to maintaining personal product knowledge and continually upgrading knowledge as the company makes training available
